The construction

The MZB 72 is an own development of Lehmar GmbH. The MZB 72 is a new development of the open and fast workboat. For the construction of the hull the tried and tested handling of the MZB 55 was maintained and optimised by many small details. The construction allows a shortening of the hull down to 6.20 m / 20’. A real novelty is the optional lateral rescue door. Up to 3 persons can be transported lying down in this boat. Excellent driving qualities combined with a high load capacity and solid construction distinguish this new MZB.

The lateral rescue door

The lateral rescue door was designed especially for the MZB. Special reinforcements make the hull sufficiently rigid. When the door is open (60 cm / 2’ wide) the MZB has a freeboard height of only 15 cm / 0.5’. The special shape of the boat in conjunction with its self-drainage system allows the trouble-free salvage of persons from the water. The lateral door is also perfect for divers.
